TODAY'S INSPIRATION!!

Happy Tuesday!!! This inspiration is from my NVP's daily newsletter and I wanted to share with you today. Daily action steps no matter how big or small will get your closer to your goal of success!!

THE TIME FOR ACTION IS TODAY

You must be ready when an opportunity comes before you. Luck is the time when your preparation and opportunity meet.

There is a tide in your affairs, which, when taken at the flood, will lead you on to fortune and success.

By the law of periodical repetition, everything which has happened once must happen again and again and again, not capriciously, but at regular periods, and each thing in it's own period, and each obeying its own law.

As events tend to repeat themselves, the tide of opportunity will come to you.

Be prepared and your chance for success is sure to come. Seize an opportunity to change your life.  You can change chance into good fortune if you are ready.

Look around you. The only sure thing about your luck is that it will change.

To Your Success!!

Happy Veteran's Day!!

God Bless those who gave their lives and those who are currently fighting for our freedom as we enjoy the comforts of our homes and families.

I usually spend this day off with my kids running to a department store to get their photo taken for our Christmas Cards. This year I decided to save time and money. Every year I make an appointment and get the kids all dressed up. It ends up NOT being alot of fun. Even though we have an appointment, we end up waiting at least 1 - 1 1/2 hours before it's our turn. And I hear "I'm hungry" and "Are we almost done". Well last year, I didn't like my Christmas greeting card. And it ends up costing quite a bit of money too. So today, we slept in and have enjoyed a nice big breakfast together as a family.

But I did get my Christmas greeting card photo done!! I just went to SNAPFISH and uploaded some really nice photos of the kids, picked out a background and now all I have to do is place my order!! I love it and it was so easy. And the best part is that I saved myself and family time and money:)

So, here is my preliminary card. And now I still have the entire day to work at home and enjoy my kids on their day off!

My Christmas Card 2010
Have a great day everyone and enjoy and be grateful for all of your loved ones!!!

Time Management Tips For Busy WAHMS

Don't we all want more money rolling in?

Most people would like to start some sort of extra money-making project, especially at home. The problem is, not many of these people seem able to fit "a second job" into their time schedules.

So how do you manage your time?

True, most people are busy, but extra time for some sort of home-based
venture can be achieved. It's called time-management.

It may mean giving up or changing a few of your favorite pastimes -

such as spending time at the club or watching TV.

Think again. If you make it big with your extra income project, you will

have all the time in the world for doing whatever you want to do.

Taking Your First Step:

Firstly, sit down and list your daily schedule. When do you wake up?

Then step-by-step, list everything you do each day.

Most people have about three hours each day that can be utilized in

a more constructive or efficient manner.

It will be worth it in the long run if you start to employ efficient time

management. It all boils down to planning what you're going to do,
and then doing it without backtracking.

Make a list of the things you want to do tomorrow and each evening

before you go to bed.

Schedule your trips to the supermarket or wherever to coincide with
the other things you have to do, and with your trips to or from work.
you're out of the house.

Stop Shooting The Breeze:

Take stock of the time you spend standing around shooting the breeze -
especially the time you spend on the telephone or gossiping with the
neighbor - and eliminate all that isn't necessary.

Whatever chores you have to do at home, set aside a specific time to do
them, and a specific amount of time to devote to them.

Don't try to do a week's work in one big flurry. Just do a part of it, or one
particular job each day, and you'll be amazed at your progress.

Take care of all your mail the day you receive it. Don't let those bills and
letters pile up on you. If you're unable to pay a bill immediately, file it in a
special place that's visible, and note on the envelope the date you intend
to pay it. Answer your letters the same day you get them.

Time Is Yours, But It's Precious:

The important thing is to think of time as your most valuable asset, because
it is. So get organized. Decide what you have to do, and what you want to do.
From there, it's just a matter of arranging priorities.

Start to list and plan what you want to do, and then carry out your plans.
And you'll discover that you'll find plenty of "extra time" for handling virtually
any kind of home-based buisnesses.

Know the secret. All financially successful people are simply well organized .
They do not waste time.

Think about it. Review your own activities, and then see if you can't find a
couple of extra hours in each day for more constructive accomplishments.

And A Time To Relax:

Last but not least, when you're organizing your time and your business,
be sure to put aside some time for relaxation.

Make time for your family. You must not involve yourself in anything to an
extent that you exclude other people - particularly your loved ones -
from your life.

Taking stock of the time you waste each day, and from there, reorganizing
your activities is what it's all about. It's a matter of becoming more efficient
in the use of your time.

It's really easy to do, and you will not only accomplish a lot more, you will
also find greater fulfillment in your life.

To Your Success!!

SUCCESS Is A Journey - Enjoy The Ride! by Margaret Cowles

Success is not a destination, it's a journey. The truth is, if you were to ask the most successful people in the world, Donald Trump included, they would more likely than not tell you that they haven't reached the pinnacle of success.
And that is a very good and healthy thing. Think about it. If you were to look at your life and be totally content with what you have achieved then what would there be left to do? You'd be sitting around looking at your bank account, or your possessions, or whatever it was that you defined success by with nothing left to do. You may be alive physically but emotionally there would be very little life inside of you, especially if you were driven by the need to succeed.
So success is a journey. One who's destination you hope never is fully reached.

Having said that, you still want to have some kind of success. You certainly don't want to look back at your life and feel that you haven't achieved anything. The last thing anyone wants to feel like is a total failure. But what exactly is even partial success? Sure, you can micro manage things to the point where you declare that simply getting up and making it through your day without anything terrible happening to you is a successful day. And yet, to some people, that would be a miracle. I'm talking about people who have serious illnesses, or have some kind of addiction to drugs or alcohol. For these people, getting through a day is a major triumph.

You have to look at the life you've been given and figure out how you can make it better. You have to first decide what it is you want to be successful at. If it's to be a great actor then the first thing you have to do is learn your craft. You may never reach the point of hitting the silver screen but if you managed to land a small role in a local town production of "My Fair Lady" wouldn't you consider that a degree of success? I know I would.

See, success is not an absolute. It's a continuing evolution of your progress as a person. When you learned to cook, if you learned to cook, you didn't make the most tasty meals right from the start, unless of course you are just naturally gifted. But gradually your cooking skills became greater and greater. Okay, so maybe you never get that job cooking at the Waldorf. But wasn't it successful having the family over for Thanksgiving dinner and telling you how wonderful everything was?

The point I'm trying to make is this. Success is relative. And the key to success is recognizing the strides that you have made along your journey to success, or whatever your definition of success is. As long as you keep trying; as long as you don't give up; as long as you continue that journey; that brass ring, if that's what you're reaching for, will always be within reach. You may not reach your ultimate goal, but every inch of progress you make brings you that much closer to getting there.

Success is a journey. Enjoy it!

The "Don't Quit" Poem

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow–
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor’s cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out–
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit–
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

~ ACHIEVEMENT ~

It is far better for you to earn something and not have it than to have something and never earn it. When you've truly earned something, there is a valuable and important part of it that can never be taken away. To wish that all the treasures of life would simply and easily be given to you is to wish for nothing of any real value. It is in the effort, the discipline, the commitment to reach it, that achievement yields true meaning.

Dream the biggest, most spectacular, fulfilling and meaningful dream that you can imagine. And know that the moment you begin to earnestly and steadily work your way toward it, the richness of that dream is yours to experience.

What you desire is not what you really desire. What you really desire is to be the person you must become in order to achieve it.

What you really desire is to matter, to make a difference, to add your own special essence and flavor to life. What will bring you fulfillment is to create, express and bring to life, in your own way, the unique beauty of your spirit.

Look past the mere trinkets and artifacts of achievement. Focus on the substance of achievement that lives in the effort, the passion, the commitment, and the persistence. There you'll find real and lasting value...

To Your Success!!
